Melbourne Heart Talented Player Program

Melbourne Heart Talented Player Program

Melbourne Heart F.C. and Football Federation Victoria, in conjunction with SEDA has created a program combining football development with an educational pathway through the Sport & Recreation Industry. It consists of specialised football training conducted by FFV approved coaches and SEDA staff integrated with a Sport and Recreation curriculum.

Students can complete their senior VCAL and certificates III and IV in Sport and Recreation leading to a Diploma of Sport (Development). Core curriculum involves theoretical and practical experience in sports administration, marketing, exercise science, coaching, industry placements, event/project management and career planning.

Selection into the Melbourne Heart Talented Player Program is determined by the FFV in conjunction with SEDA and is primarily based on football ability and educational background. To be eligible to apply for the Talented Players Program, players must be playing in either the Victorian Champions league, U/21 VPL or for a State league senior team.

As part of the selection process applicants also complete a trial process conducted by the FFV.
