Tennis Australia “Come & Try Day” – Shepparton
Tennis Australia and the Evonne Goolagong Foundation recently conducted a “Come & Try” day for young Indigenous Australians in the Shepparton Area. The Tennis Come and Try Day is an initiative aims to encourage and support young Indigenous Australians to stay at school, get that job and be a legend for themselves, their family and their community.

Murrumbeena PS House Athletics
On Wednesday the 3rd of August our group was involved in the planning and implementation of the Murrumbeena PS House Athletics day at Duncan McKinnon Park. The group learnt about running an event of this scale and assisted in coaching athletic events.
Fitness Training with TEPA
On Tuesdays this term the group has been going to Fitness First to participate in a variety of group training sessions. These sessions have given the group a chance to improve their personal fitness and gain experience in the fitness sector of the sport and recreation industry.
SSV State Cross Country
On Tuesday the 19th of July we went to Bundoora to assist in the implementation of the School State Cross Country. The class was involved in a number of different jobs throughout the day, which gave them a greater understanding of managing an intrastate event. The entire group was given very positive feedback regarding their performance for the day.
Tennis 2 Burnley March Activities
It’s been another exciting month for the Tennis 2 Burnley group. We have been knuckling down and working on assessment tasks for English, Client Services, Sport & Recreation Services and Club / Facility Management. The class has been out running clinics for Toorak, Glen Huntly and Beaumaris Primary Schools. We have worked with Tennis Victoria completing the Level 1 Officiating Course and a large number of the students have begun their Level 1 Junior Development Course. The class was able to attend the Melbourne Grand Prix and on the last Friday of the month we travelled to Torquay for a day of surfing hosted by the SEDA surfing group.
Tennis 2 February Activities
February was a very busy month for the Burnley tennis group. The students have completed a number of activities including the orientation program, a Hot Shots Tennis Coaching program, running a Tennis SEPEP program, Tennis Victoria Officiating Course and taken their first primary school clinic at Toorak PS.
