When in 2012, Arena Theatre Company and SEDA announced an exciting new initiative that links young people with the arts industry and community as part of their education, and engages VCE-level students in real-life learning experiences with the performing arts, I was naturally intrigued. This is a program that was inspiring and exciting – it was new, it was arts education that involved actual artists as educators and, it hadn’t been done before.
