Melbourne Victory Football Club (MVFC) in association with Sports Education & Development Australia, (SEDA) is pleased to continue the ‘Kickin’ Around with Victory’ schools program in 2012. The program is aimed at grade 5 and 6 students with the main emphasis being on participation.
Boys and girls, aged between 10 and 12, will be given the opportunity to discover the joys of football. The program will focus on various football skills including passing, dribbling, heading, ball control, goal keeping and shooting. Once the children have mastered the basics, the program will conclude with some small sided games, in a fun and relaxed environment. The 3 week program will conclude with a bi-annual Gala Day, incorporating selected teams from all the participating primary schools playing in a round robin format. MVFC aims to have players attend each gala day to sign autographs & interact with the children.
